Iowa teen dead after two-vehicle crash

iowa-state-patrol-logo-doorKEOKUK COUNTY, IOWA – On Saturday March 7, 2015, around 11:53PM, a two vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Hwy. 78 and 270th Ave in rural Keokuk County.

A northbound vehicle occupied by Dakota Bogert, 22, of Bloomfield, and Keegan Barker, 17, also of Bloomfield, failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a vehicle that was westbound on Hwy. 78. The westbound vehicle was driven by Bethanne Cooksey, 17, of Hedrick, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dakota Bogert and Keegan Barker are listed in stable condition.

The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
