WEBSTER CITY – A jury returned guilty verdicts Tuesday for Casey Frederiksen for his crimes against 5-year-old Evelyn Miller in 2005 in Floyd county.
Frederiksen’s sentencing will be on May 11 after a Webster county jury found him guilty of first degree murder and first degree sexual abuse. He was emotionless as the verdicts were read. The jury deliberated for only about 5 or 6 hours. His trial had been moved out of Floyd county due to pre-trial publicity.
Many in the Floyd and Charles City area have waited years for this verdict. He has been incarcerated for years since the murder on child porn and drug charges. He faces life in prison with no chance of parole.
