Mason City man sent to jail for harassment

MASON CITY – A Mason City man pled guilty to harassment and was sent to jail for a week.

Randy Ray Johnson, age 20 was arrested by Mason City police in July of 2014 after a complaint about harassing behavior. After an investigation, Johnson was charged with two counts of first degree harassment. In February, Johnson agreed to plead guilty to one count and the other was dismissed. He was given a 365 day jail sentence with 358 days suspended. He was also placed on probation for two years and ordered to pay $223.00 in court costs.

Johnson reported to the Cerro Gordo County Jail Friday to serve his 7 days in jail.
