MINNEAPOLIS – The driver in a serious car crash that sent three to a Twin Cities hospital is being sought by Minneapolis police at this time.
Sunday morning at 2:10 am, officers from the Minneapolis Police Department responded to a report of a single car crash on West Broadway in the area of Logan Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle that appeared to be traveling at a high rate of speed that had left the roadway and struck a sign, causing major damage to the vehicle.
The driver fled the scene prior to officers arrival. Two of the passengers were walking around at the scene and located by officers. One person, with very substantial injuries, had to be extricated from the crashed vehicle. All three were transported to the hospital.
Primary investigation indicates speed may be a contributing factor.
At this time, the driver has not been located. No further information is expected to be available until Monday.
