MASON CITY – A North Iowa woman was taken to jail after she was caught stealing at Wal-Mart Friday.
Police were dispatched to the Wal-Mart Super Center, located at 4151 4th Street SW, on Friday afternoon after loss prevention reported they had located a suspected shoplifter. Police arrived and arrested 55-year-old Peggy Sue Oconnell of Rake, Iowa on a charge of theft in the third degree.
Oconnell remained in jail on $2,000 bond. She has at least three prior theft convictions, all out of Black Hawk county.
