CHARLES CITY – A Charles City man was arrested for shoplifting.
On December 23 at about 3:08 PM, Charles City police were called to the 1400 block of South Grand Avenue on a report of a shoplifter at a business located there. After an investigation, officers arrested 18-year-old Joshua Merrill on a charge of fifth degree theft.
Merrill was taken to jail, booked and later released pending a court date set for December 31.
