St. Paul banked robbed, getaway pickup burned

investigateST. PAUL – The FBI is searching for clues after a bank in St. Paul was robbed early Monday morning.

On December 15, 2014, two black male robbers approached a TCF Bank branch located at 2163 Ford Parkway in St. Paul, Minnesota, at approximately 6:45 a.m. The robbers approached two employees who were opening the bank and demanded entry into the bank. The robbers then forced the employees to provide them with access to the bank’s vault.

Once inside the vault, the robbers collected an undisclosed amount of cash and locked the employees in a room adjacent to the vault. The robbers fled from the bank and entered a pickup truck which was later recovered by police near the intersection of Ford Parkway & Mt. Curve Boulevard after being burned. The robbers then entered a dark, SUV-type vehicle and drove in an easterly direction on Ford Parkway.

The robbers were described as black males, who both stood approximately 6’0” in height and had medium builds. Both robbers wore black ski masks and black jackets.

The FBI is actively investigating this crime and seeking tips from the public who may have witnessed any part of it.
