NEW YORK – Governor Terry Branstad is in New York City today working to bring jobs and business investment to Iowa.
Branstad will be in the Big Apple from Tuesday through Thursday, along with some of his family and economic development officials from state government. He will be meeting with business executives and making connections which he hopes will lead to economic development.
Branstad announced Monday that he will be sworn in for his sixth term on Jan. 16 in Des Moines. A ball will be held along with other festivities. He will be the longest-serving governor in U.S. history.
