MASON CITY – A Mason City man is in jail on a charge of drunk driving for the fifth time.
Sidney Arthur Riekens, age 64, was brought to the Cerro Gordo County Jail late Thursday for drunk driving. He has been caught four times previously, the last time on May 29, 2012. He ws charged with felony third offense drunk driving, but was able to plead to a lesser charge of first offense operating while intoxicated. Court records show Riekens has been convicted of 2nd offense operating while intoxicated in Cerro Gordo County on three occasions between 1999 and 2005.
Riekens is being held on $5,000 cash bond at this time.
