MASON CITY – A wanted man who robbed six Hampton businesses and only served a few months in prison for his crimes was caught by police in Mason City recently.
Jeremy Nicholas Mulford, age 34, was caught and arrested by Mason City police and Cerro Gordo deputies on October 30 near the Mason City Country Club. He was wanted on parole and probation violations related to crimes he committed in 2012 in Hampton that sent him to prison. He was taken to the county jail, where he is still being held until it’s determined whether he will be sent back to prison.
This past April, Mulford was picked up by law enforcement for parole and probation violations related to his March 25, 2013 guilty plea to three counts of felony C third degree burglary for his robbery spree in Hampton late in 2012, which also involved an injury to a police officer. Mulford was sentenced to three terms of five years in state prison, but only served about 13 months before he was set free in on February 10, 2014.
