IOWA CITY – The Iowa Hawkeyes beat orthwood (Fla.), 92-51, in an exhibition game Sunday in Carver Hawkeye Arena in front of 14,000 fans.
Iowa was led by Peter Jok’s 16 points and Jarrod Uthoff’s 15.
Iowa led just 39-32 at the half.
“We scheduled this team by design because we knew they would come in here and go toe-to-toe with us, which is exactly what they did,” Iowa coach Fran McCaffery said. “I thought, also, our offense ran much more smoothly in the second half,” he said, as his team opened a much bigger lead.
