MASON CITY – A Rockford woman and a Nora Springs man were stopped in Mason City as they drove around with meth, allegedly looking to make a sale.
Shane Lester McRoberts, age 27 of Nora Springs was driving a car Tuesday evening and was stopped by a Cerro Gordo deputy near Eisenhower Avenue and 9th Street SW. Inside the car was a passenger, 27-year-old Erika Lynn Parker of Rockford.
During the traffic stop and ensuing investigation, the dangerous drug methamphetamine was discovered.
Both McRoberts and Parker were placed under arrest at the scene and their vehicle was impounded. Parker was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (meth) with intent to deliver. She awaits a hearing on October 17. McRoberts was charged with driving while barred.
Parker pled guilty to possession of marijuana in 2012, charged by Mason City police.
Earlier this year, McRoberts pled guilty to felony assault causing bodily injury in Floyd county, and was ordered to pay over $13,000 in restitution to his victim.
