IOWA CITY – The 2014 edition of the Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series football game, set for next Saturday, Sept. 13, when the Hawkeyes host Iowa State in Kinnick Stadium (2:30 p.m.), is sold out. The announcement was made Saturday by Pam Finke, the UI’s director of athletics ticket operations. Capacity at Kinnick Stadium is 70,585.
Iowa State (0-2) and Iowa (2-0) will meet for the 62nd time, with Iowa holding a 40-21 series advantage. Iowa won by a 27-21 margin last season in Ames to reclaim possession of the Cy-Hawk Trophy. The Hawkeyes improved to 2-0 on the season with a 17-14 win over Ball State Saturday, scoring two touchdowns in the final 2:58.
