GARNER – A Garner woman who pled guilty to felony burglary was placed on probation.
Abby Wellik, age 31 of Garner, was convicted of third degree burglary, a class D felony, stemming from an investigation by the Garner Police Department on October 11, 2013. Wellik was sentenced to serve up to five years in prison and pay $1,800.40, plus court costs. The prison sentence was suspended, and Wellik was placed on probation for two years to the Department of Correctional Services. A second charge of third degree burglary was dismissed.
In 2012, Wellik left her minor special needs child home alone to fend for herself without the ability to do so and was charged with child endangerment, later accepting a deferred judgment in that case.
