Wanted MC woman who stole her child’s identity turns herself in

MASON CITY – A woman wanted for violating terms of her probation turned herself in Thursday.

Donyale Maria Jones, age 26, had been wanted since August 1 when the Iowa Department of Corrections filed a probation violation report in Cerro Gordo court. Jones had been convicted in 2011 for identity theft after the charge was brought by Mason City police. They alleged that Jones had stole the identity of her own child. She later pled guilty to the charge and was jailed for 15 days and given 1 year of probation and a suspended fine. However, Jones violated her probation last year and given another two years of probation. She was also ordered to pay $2,812.62 in courts costs, fees and restitution, but has managed to pay just $841.33 on that glance.

Jones is being held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on $2,000 cash-only bond as she awaits an August 15 court date.
