MASON CITY – Police located a wanted Mason City woman with a history of drug arrests and took her to jail Wednesday morning.
Autumn Lee Lauritsen, age 27, was located by a Mason City police officer at her home at the 1100 block of North Ohio Avenue Wednesday morning at about 10:39 AM. Lauritsen was wanted on a warrant on a charge of unlawful prescription drug possession connected to a traffic stop last year. During that stop on October 13, 2013, Lauritsen was charged with open container, interference with official acts, possession of drug paraphernalia – which were all later dismissed – and unlawful possession of a prescription drug. She was given a short jail sentence, ordered to pay fines and court fees, and probation in a plea deal.
At this time, Lauritsen is also facing a charges from Sioux City police for possessing drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine. She is supposed to be in court July 31st for a hearing in Woodbury county. She has already been convicted of drug possession in Worth county court.
