NIACC volleyball camps set for July, August

niacc_trojans_logoMASON CITY – The NIACC volleyball team will hold two volleyball camps this summer.

The advanced volleyball and conditioning camp for high school players is set for July 14-15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The camp is designed for players that have a basic understanding of the game along with basic volleyball skills.

Players will work on individual skills, team skills and conditioning drills to prepare players for their upcoming seasons.

Lunch will not be provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch, leave campus or eat in the NIACC activity center café.

The cost of the camp is $70, which includes a T-shirt, and the registration deadline is July 1. Late registration is $75 with no guarantee of a T-shirt.

The camp will be limited to 30 participants.

A camp for beginners (fifth through eighth grade) is set for July 31, Aug. 1, Aug. 4 and Aug. 5 from 6-8 p.m. in the NIACC gym. The camp is designed to teach basic volleyball skills. Players will work on serving, passing, setting and attacking.

The cost of the camp is $50, which includes a T-shirt, and the registration deadline is July 18. Late registration is $55 with no guarantee of a T-shirt.

The camp will be limited to 30 participants.
