GARNER – A Garner woman who received a deferred judgment in a drunk driving case has had her probation revoked.
Brianna Dean Taft, 19, Garner, appeared for probation revocation proceedings on the underlying charge of “OPERATING WHILE INTOXICATED — FIRST OFFENSE,” a serious misdemeanor stemming from a traffic stop by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office on August 31, 2013.
Taft’s deferred judgment was revoked, and she was sentenced to serve two days in jail and pay $1,687.50, plus court costs and attorney fees. The court ordered the DOT to revoke Taft’s driving privileges. She will also be required to attend a drinking driver’s course and obtain a substance abuse evaluation and complete all follow-through treatment.
Taft was also sentenced to 2 days in jail and ordered to pay $420.75 in court costs and fines after pleading guilty to fifth degree theft on April 30.
