MASON CITY – A woman who plead guilty to theft related to a forgery charge brought by Mason City police last year is now serving the jail time she initially escaped in the plea deal.
Dottie Kay Roberts, age 35, is now serving four days in jail after turning herself in early Monday morning on an arrest warrant. She pled guilty in 2013 to third degree theft in a forgery case investigated by Mason City police and was assessed $2,295.80 in restitution and court costs. Roberts has paid $1,000 toward that balance so far, records show.
