MASON CITY – Alliant Energy employees can tamper with an electric meter, lawfully.
Friday afternoon, a Mason City police officer observed a male subject “tampering with an electric meter” at a residence at the 300 block of East State Street.
After an apparent investigation, it was determined the subject worked for Alliant Energy.
No charges were filed.
