MASON CITY – A Mason City man commonly arrested by police was taken into custody twice this week.

Police said that on May 6, 2014, at 8:30 pm, Dustin Snowbird allegedly was operating a motorcycle and crashed (laid the bike down) in the 1400 block of North Federal Avenue (a single-vehicle collision). He was arrested for 2 counts of driving while revoked (one for OWI revocation-serious misdemeanor, and one for drug-related revocation-simple misdemeanor). He was taken to jail.

Then, on May 8, 2014, at approximately 6:17 AM, officers witnessed Snowbird operating his motorcycle in the 1200 block of North Federal. Officers pulled Snowbird over because he is not valid to drive and there were no plates on the motorcycle. He was arrested for driving while revoked and no insurance. Additionally, officers charged him with 2nd degree criminal mischief from an incident that was reported earlier that morning on May 8 at 1:30 AM. Snowbird allegedly caused $1,250 damage at an undisclosed residence. Lastly, Snowbird had suspected marijuana in his possession at the time of arrest and was charged with possession of a controlled substance (3rd or subsequent offense for Marijuana) and again taken to jail. He was soon released.
