CHARLES CITY – An east coast man was knocking on doors in Charles City over the weekend late at night, and police arrested him.
According to police, officers responded to the 100 block of Bunn Avenue a few minutes after midnight on May 3. Callers reported an unknown man was knocking on their door. Police located Charles Roy Meyers, age 33 of Vale, North Carolina, and placed him under arrest for public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Vale was taken to jail and later pled guilty to disorderly conduct. He was assessed $195.00 in fines and court costs and put on a payment plan.
