MASON CITY – Police arrested another convicted sex offender this weekend, this time at a local restaurant.
Elasondro Tiyron Taylor, age 46, was arrested at Papa’s American Cafe, 2960 4th Street SW, on Saturday at just after 6 PM. Taylor was wanted on a warrant for violating the Iowa sex offender registry. He was taken to the Cerro Gordo Coutny Jail and booked shortly thereafer.
Taylor lists a permanent address of 3451 South Federal Avenue, which is the Ashley Inn hotel, but records show he is also supposed to be a resident at Beje Clark halfway house. He was convicted in 1990 in Linn county for a sex offense against a female child between the ages of 0 and 13 years.
Taylor is being held on the $10,000 cach or surety bond.
