MASON CITY – The NIACC men’s and women’s golf teams host the NIACC Invitational on Monday at the Mason City Country Club.
The invitational starts at 10 a.m.
Teams entered in the tournament are DMACC, Ellsworth, Iowa Lakes, Hawkeye Community College and Southwestern.
The NIACC men are coming off a third-place finish at the Iowa Central Invitational at the Fort Dodge Country Club on Tuesday. The Trojans placed third with a 312.
The Trojans were led by meet medalist Levi Fink, who shot a 36-36 – 72. Other counting scores for the Trojans were Hunter Miller (79), Joe Myers (80), Kevin Trobaugh (81) and Logan Jarvis (81).
The NIACC men placed second at their own invitational in the spring 2013 season with a 299. Fink shot 75, Myers shot 77 and Trobaugh shot 79 at last year’s home invitational.
Notes – Jarvis’ 81 tied his season low for the spring season … Myers’ 80 was his season low for the spring season … Fink’s 7-round average this spring is 75.3 … Miller’s 5-round average is 78 … Jarvis’ 5-round average is 80.2 … Trobaugh’s 5-round average is 80.4 … Urdahl’s 5-round average is 85 … Myers’ 7-round average is 85.7.
