MASON CITY – Mason City police visited an apartment house twice in the same day to investigate “an odor of drugs” … but came up with nothing.
According to reports, police were called twice to 2427 South Taft Avenue, apartment 9, for an odor of drugs at the location on April 13. During the first visit, at 9:16 PM, two officers reported that they spoke with the resident and “everything was ok”. They were not able to verify any law had been broken.
Police returned to the same address at 11:46 PM that same evening for a report of “an odor of drugs” once again. This time, two different officers responded to the address, and reported that they “smelt the odor in the hallway but were unable to determine where the odor was coming from.”
No arrests were made.
