iowa dept of public safetySTORY COUNTY, IOWA – An Iowa man who was caught by cops after allegedly shooting his wife multiple times and then living with the body for days, told investigators that “it didn’t work out”.

On April 14, 2014, at approximately 6:15 p.m., the Huxley Police Department responded to 117 Race Street in Cambridge, Iowa, in response to a welfare check.  Upon checking the residence, officers located a deceased female in an upstairs bedroom.  The female had multiple gunshot wounds and had been dead for a number of days, since April 11.

A weapon matching the caliber of spent casings found near the body was located inside the residence.  The body was transported to the Iowa State Medical Examiner’s Office in Ankeny, Iowa.  The autopsy will be conducted today, April 15, 2014.

On April 15, 2014, the suspect, Jeremy Michael Cory, 44 years old, was arrested and charged with Murder in the First Degree.  Cory was arrested by members of the Huxley Police Department and agents with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.  The arrest of Cory occurred at the Huxley Police Department.  Cory was transported to the Story County Jail.

According to police documents, Cory at first lied about the whereabouts of his deceased wife, after police located her body in an upstairs bedroom.  A witness had called police, indicating that the witness had not seen the deceased person since April 4, and at that time, Cory had threatened his wife with a loaded gun.  The victim appeared to be un-armed and there was no signs of a struggle.

The Huxley Police Department, MINE Task Force and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are continuing the investigation.

So they say Donald Trump mocked the physical disability of a NY Times reporter. Should he apologize?

This is why “being a man” is overrated. Too many “men” out there…and with that, comes their ridiculous sense of macho and pride. I’d rather be a shy bald buddhist with a vagina.:)

I guess just kicking her out or leaving yourself wasn’t an option? Divorce, it does still exist. Walk away and start over. Now he’s gonna go to jail and be married all over again. I’m gonna guess that one won’t “work out” too well for him either.
