MASON CITY – A woman with a history of assault convictions was arrested by law enforcement at the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse Tuesday for public drunkenness.
Angela Sue Anderson, age 51, was at the courthouse at 220 South Washington Avenue Tuesday at about noon when she was placed under arrest for third or subsequent offense public intoxication. She was taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail and booked and held on $2,000 cash or surety bond.
Anderson recently pleaded guilty to the same charge in Cerro Gordo county and was sentenced to 3 days in jail and $1,065 in fines and court costs, which she has yet to make a payment on. She has also been involved in a number of assault cases, one in which she pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily injury.
