ARLINGTON, TX – Shabazz Napier scored 22 points in leading Connecticut past the young guns of Kentucky to win second its fourth NCAA title and second in four years.

The fabulous six freshmen of Kentucky ran out of magic in this final, maybe using it all up in their miraculous win over Wisconsin on Saturday in the Final 4.

In just his second season as the head basketball coach at Connecticut and only his fourth year in the profession since retiring from the NBA, Kevin Ollie gets his first national title.

UConn (32-8) never trailed in the game, which was still very close. Kentucky (29-11) fell behind by as many as 15 points, only to scrap to within one with just over 8 minutes left in the game. Kentucky missed eleven free throws while UConn was a perfect ten-for-ten from the line.
