MASON CITY – A North Iowa man was hospitalized after a single-vehicle accident Tuesday morning.
The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office said that Tuesday morning at about 7:02 AM, deputies responded to a single vehicle accident with injuries at 242nd Street and Balsam Avenue, in Ventura. Korey Zwiefel, age 44, of Ventura, was driving southbound in a 1995 Chevrolet Pickup when he lost control and left the roadway, entered the east ditch and struck a culvert and road embankment, which caused the pickup to flip upside down.
Zwiefel was transported to Mercy Medical Center North Iowa by Garner Ambulance Service with undisclosed injuries.
The accident is still under investigation.
