Convicted drug dealer back in jail for violating probation

MASON CITY – A man convicted of dealing powerful illicit drugs near a school – who was given only probation, a fine and court costs – has been accused of violating his probation for a second time.

Timothy Lee Rucker is now in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on $25,000 (10% required) cash bond after Mason City police picked him up outside Mohawk Square in the Cultural Crescent Friday afternoon.

Rucker pled guilty in July of 2012 to three drug charges brought against him by the North Iowa Drug Task Force following an investigation into his drug dealing activities. Rucker pled guilty to two class C felony counts of delivery of methamphetamine with 1,000 feet of a school, and one class C felony count of possession with intent to deliver MDMA (Ecstasy). Six other serious drug charges were dropped in exchange for his guilty plea.

Rucker was ultimately sentenced and placed on 999 days of probation and assessed a $1,000 fine and court costs that totaled $7,346.56. However, Rucker never made a single payment on that debt, records show.

Rucker was placed in the Beje Clark halfway house in April of 2013 when he was convicted of violating his probation for the first time.

Rucker stands accused again of violating his probation. The Iowa Department of Corrections brought the violation forward this month, and an arrest warrant was issued. He faces an April 7, 2014 hearing.

@ LVS, yes it is time we relize we got to take care of our self’s. The Democrap’s hate this idea, they will say oh you guys want to get violent, well ok yes. Democrap’s says it is violent I say its more like taking out the trash.

Ohhhhhh poor drug pusher, better call Obama hes black and just missunderstud he didnt mean it, just let him go it be all right, maybe a pardon

It’s seems like most of all the new people in town are already on parole. And some for serious crimes. What are they doing shipping X Cons to Mason City?

The judges need arresting

$2,500 bond and he is out on the streets again. That is nothing for a drug dealer. He is probably already on the streets while I am typing this. What good is it to have laws if the judges just turn these rejects loose again? How much did it cost to arrest him, jail him and take him to preliminary courts? What a farce. Cancel all laws and lets go back to enforcing what we need to on our own.
