IOWA CITY – Spring practice has opened for the Iowa football team, and coach Kirk Ferentz is excited about his team’s prospects.
“We’ve had a really good winter program, I know Chris (Doyle, strength coach) and his staff are really pleased with the way things went and now we’re just coming off a break here,” Ferentz said at a Wednesday press conference.
Iowa’s biggest challenges this upcoming season will be replacing senior linebackers.
“We’ll know a lot more after 15 workouts,” Ferentz said about who will take over leadership roles on the team.
