MASON CITY – A South Adams residence kept Mason City police plenty busy last week.
The trouble began on March 15th when a wanted man who lives at 631 South Adams Avenue was caught by police at a downtown Mason City bar.
Tyrone Antione Judon, age 29, was arrested on a warrant. He owes a number of unpaid fines and fees to Iowa courts, the latest from a guilty plea this month to a charge of interference with official acts in Polk county.
The next day, on March 16 at about 3:36 PM, police went to the residence on a report of a verbal dispute. After investigating the incident, one adult male resident was arrested. Billy Joe Compton, age 23, was arrested for felony domestic assault involving restriction of the airway (strangulation). The victim was not transported by ambulance, police said. Compton was released from jail on March 19, awaiting a March 27 hearing.
Police again came to the residence at 631 South Adams Avenue on March 17, this time for a confirmed dispute. Neither party agreed to leave the house, police said, and the call for service was ended.
Finally, a police investigator went back to the same house one more time on March 20 to deliver a message from the jail to a resident, who was not home.
The residence has also been turned in to city officials as a nuisance a number of times, the latest complaint being garbage and trash strewn about the property.

The person to be talking to would be the owner. If it’s a landlord he should be forced into fixing the place up. There’s to many slumb owners in Mason city. And there making a killing renting dumps out.
These pictures of these creepy people, oh, it is like we are watching the Cops show, or America’s Most Wanted. This has got to stop. Since the people that run MC look the other way on so many thing, how about they look the other way for about 24 hours and bring in some people that mean business? I mean some people that will make these people get out of town, and right now, or else. If the good people all come together on something like this, the problem will be solved one way or the other.
Oh, you mean like the KKK right? How about you start up the clan again and see how far that gets you. Better yet, how about you take the law in your own hands instead of yelling for someone else to do it for you. There’s more white trash in this town then you can shake a stick at.

But it should come as no surprise that white supremacy is alive and well around here when the Globb regularly publishes Editorial columns pushing hatred by Nazis like Todd Blodgett.

Matt I know I’m being a little critical bur drive around this town, no money for anyone to fix up their house cause most of their money is illegal and goes up in smoke,nose or arms. If I didn’t work here I’d be gone.
This city is just where boozemeyer and his cronies want it. Drunks,druggies and the lowest form of life. This town is just a getto for the Detroit and Chicago lowlifes.
Why doesn’t the City do like Mercy does, and buy out all of these dumps and tear them down. Get rid of the housing that attracts these dirt bags, and they won’t have a place to shack up. Kind of extreme, but MC is a haven for druggies and criminals.
@Anonymous-we have a much touted rent ordinance for rentals and almost all of these punks live in tented houses and apartments. If it is a drug house or problem house the landlord can be forced to evict them. It seems like the city is being selective in how they enforce it. That was one of the fears when they put it in.
I’ll tell you one thing. South Adams 600 block is looking rough. Real rough. I’ve been patrolling through there last couple of days. The house immediately south had 7-8 cars parked in front and in the driveway today. Only one from CG county, and two were running with people sitting inside them. Looked very suspicious.
