SPENCER – Police nabbed a Spencer man for his second operating while intoxicated offense recently.
A Clay county deputy arrested 35-year-old Chad Kruger on January 18th at about 1:36 AM near the 900 block of 2nd Avenue SW in Spencer. According to police, the deputy saw a vehicle traveling west on 11th St SE drive through a red light at South Grand Ave. The Deputy stopped the vehicle in the 900 block of 2nd Ave SW. The driver was identified as Chad Kruger of Spencer. The Deputy conducted standardized field sobriety tests on Kruger and determined he was intoxicated. Kruger was arrested and taken to the Clay County Jail. Kruger was charged with OWI 2nd an Aggravated Misdemeanor and cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.
He faces a hearing on February 14th.
