MASON CITY – A person was taken to the hospital after multiple cars collided Wednesday evening near Wal-Mart in Mason City.
At about 6 PM, the Mason City Fire and Police Departments were dispatched to an accident at the intersection of Highway 122 and South Eisenhower, just north of Wal-mart, involving three or more vehicles.
It was said that two people were pinned in their car. At least one person was taken by ambulance to Mercy Medical Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Two tow trucks were requested.
Eisenhower north of hwy 122 was blocked from traffic. More on the accident as information becomes available.
