Minnesota drug dealer busted in M.C. with meth

MASON CITY – A convicted Minnesota drug dealer on the prowl in Mason City was nabbed by police Tuesday with powerful narcotics and charged with felony intent to distribute.

Mason City police conducted a traffic stop Tuesday of 54-year-old Scott Evan Caulfield at the Casey’s General Store, located at 1607 South Federal Avenue at about 10:30 PM.  During the course of the traffic stop, methamphetamine was found.  Caulfield was arrested and charged with felony B possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.  He was taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail, where he remains this week on $25,000 bond.  He awaits a January 31 court date.

Caulfield was convicted in Minnesota in 2004 of a third degree controlled substance violation and a second degree controlled substance violation after getting caught selling cocaine in a Rochester, MN bar in 2001.
