MASON CITY – The NIACC women’s basketball team remained No. 1 in the NJCAA Division II poll released Wednesday.
NIACC (15-1 overall, 4-0 in the ICCAC) topped Iowa Lakes 78-45 on Jan. 8 in its lone contest last week.
The top six in the poll were identical to last week’s poll (NIACC, Johnson County CC, Illinois Central, Kirkwood, Highland CC and Owens CC).
It’s the third straight poll that the Lady Trojans have been ranked No. 1. They took over the top spot in the nation on Dec. 18.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at home against Southeastern (5-12, 1-3) in an ICCAC contest. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
