logo_iowa_state_cyclonesAMES – No. 9 Iowa State (14-1, 2-1) returns to Hilton Coliseum for a Big Monday showdown with No. 18 Kansas (11-4, 2-0). The game is a Gold Rules game and fans are encouraged to wear their favorite gold apparel.    Tip off is at 8 PM and it will be televised on ESPNU.

The cyclones look to bounce back following its first loss of the season (on the road against Oklahoma) against the Jayhawks.  In the last two seasons, ISU is 14-0 at home following a road loss. ISU is 6-1 vs. last seven ranked opponents at home.

Iowa State ranks among the NCAA’s top-10 in four statistical categories: First in assist/turnover ratio (1.91), first in assists (18.9), sixth in scoring (86.7), tied for second in defensive rebounding (30.9), ninth in scoring margin (17.9).

Iowa State is one of just seven schools nationally with three players averaging at least 15 ppg. The Cyclones have had five different players tally 20+ points in a game this season.
