North End stroll lands pot pipe toting felon in clink

MASON CITY – A man out for an early morning stroll on the city’s North End ended up in jail Friday.

According to police, Friday morning at 3:46 AM, an officer observed a male subject walking in the 1300 block of North Federal Avenue. The officer suspected the male to be a wanted man, 22-year-old Cameron Brunstein of Mason City. When confronted by the police officer, the man tried to claim he was someone else, but another MCPD officer recognized him to be Brunstein and placed him under arrest.

Officers found a pot pipe on Brunstein during the arrest. He was charged with interference with official acts and possession of drug paraphernalia taken to the Cerro Gordo County Jail and held on $5,000 cash bond.

Brunstein was wanted on an arrest warrant that was issued on December 4, 2013, for a probation violation stemming from his guilty plea to felony forgery. He awaits a February 21, 2014 court date.

Drug busts are the bread and butter of Law Enforcement Agencies and the STATE. They have no intention of depriving themselves of such lucrative cash flow. It will take the people to rise up en masse’.

Jail for a pot pipe. Welcome to Mason City, Ia. They’d rather have you on cigs and booze.

The pot pipe is just an addition, as well as the interference charge. He was picked up for a probation violation stemming from his guilty plea to felony forgery. He awaits a February 21, 2014 court date.

Look at the whole story not just the pot pipe, He plead guilty to forgery. Sadness, people like you are sick. I am sure you would be the first person to bitch if he stole your wallet and forged your name.

Yes, but in best imitation of the National Enquirer, NIT makes demon pot, right here in Mason City, the headline.

So sad. What a dreary town this is. Full of school marms and middle-school hall monitors, and NIT has its audience pegged to a T.

John, they have a one track mind, the justification of their illegal acts.

They do not care this is a violent man, and is charged with other criminal acts. They see their Holy Grail being being demonized (as it should), so they must circle the wagons and attempt to again rescue it.
