Four time thief picked up by cops on drug charges

MASON CITY – A man wanted on drug charges was apprehended by police late Monday.

Mason City police executed two search warrants at 240 6th Street SE at 9:55 PM Monday evening, in search of 24-year-old William F. Fetner. A search warrant had been issued on December 20th when Fetner neglected to show up for a court arraignment on a marijuana possession charge (third offense).

Police discovered Fetner at the residence and took him into custody. While there, records show that police discovered controlled substances, drug paraphernalia and an intent to deliver a controlled substance. Fetner was charged accordingly and is now held in the Cerro Gordo County Jail on bonds of $5,000 and $2,000.

Fetner was charged no less than four times in 2013 by Mason City police with theft, with offense dates of March 5th, May 20th, May 31st, and July 11th. He was allowed a plea bargain in all the cases. He owes Iowa courts $500.50, $963.66, $874.54 and $279.85 respectively in those cases.
