Wanted Mason City woman arrested at gas station

MASON CITY – A local woman who was wanted for failing to appear in court last week and has been arrested numerous times for public intoxication was apprehended at a local gas station Sunday, allegedly drunk.

According to police, Jessica Lynn Kohler, age 41, was arrested on a valid warrant for failing to appear in court on December 27th on a third degree theft charge. Police Sunday said that it was alleged that Kohler stole $200 for a person’s wallet at a residence at the 500 block of South Washington Avenue on December 3rd. She was also charged with public intoxication when police arrived at the scene that day.

Police caught up with Ms. Kohler at the Cenex Gas Station, located at 504 1st Street SW, on Sunday at about 10:34 AM. She was arrested on the warrant and charged with public intoxication.

Ms. Kohler is being held at the Cerro Gordo County Jail on $4,000 cash-only bond and $2,000 cash or surety bond, respectively.

On October 1, 2013, Judge Annette Boehlje dismissed a charges of public intoxication Kohler faced after incidents on July 16, July 20, and September 7, 2013.  She plead guilty on September 27 to second offense operating while under the influence.  She was ordered to have an evaluation at Prairie Ridge Treatment Center.
