MINNEAPOLIS – The Vikings topped the Bears 23-20 in overtime Sunday at Mall of America Field in what Coach Leslie Frazier described as “a wild football game and I’m so glad we came out on top.”

Kicker Blair Walsh had two tries to win it in overtime, but a penalty nullified a good kick and moved the Vikes back 15 yards, which lead to a missed attempt from 54 yards.

Walsh would get another try, however, and make good after the Bears missed their own field goal attempt to win the game.

Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson crossed the 200 yard rushing threshold and topped 10,000 yard for his career during the game.

Vikings backup quarterback Matt Cassel, who replaced an injured Christian Ponder, said: “It feels good to get the victory.”
