MASON CITY – Mayoral candidate Max Weaver held his fourth public forum Tuesday morning at the library.

About 25 citizens made their way to the forum, coming and going as Mr. Weaver spoke on a range of issues.

One of Mr. Weaver’s main topics of discussion following questions from the audience was “how are you qualified to be mayor?” or as one person put it “the city’s biggest cheerleader.”

Mr. Weaver responded with a detailed answer. See video below.

Mr. Weaver was also asked about problems on the third floor at City hall and how “difficult” it is to do business there. Mr. Weaver went into detail about a “problem” employee who works there.

After the meeting, Mr. Weaver asked NIT not to publish his answer to that question, because he felt it was “too negative, but it’s the truth.”

NIT published the answer. See video below.

Mr. Weaver’s next public meeting will be held Thursday evening beginning at 6 PM once again at the library.

I see that Max’s puppet master Peter Children is sitting near by so that Max says exactly what puppet master Children wants him to say!!

Indeed LOOK who VOTES?

And Bookmeyer has made it clear the ELDERLY have NO place that young and fresh is where it’s at.

Bookmeyer would freak if he had to talk to people with wisdom.

Actually he’d freak if he had to talk at all to anyone!

Bookmeyer is about as fresh as the bottom of a beer keg. And rightfully so, it’s home.

Great job Max! A real human who cares deeply.

Wow. Facts and more facts.

Nothing else matters now. History lesson. Bookmeyer wouldn’t have a CLUE about dates or when anything came to be, except for prohibition.

A true leader. Wow How can any of us go out and talk after that!

Weaver take your SEAT !!!!

What the ??? !!!! I jaw was just picked up off the floor! To hear such common sense and the true meaning of honesty is remarkable.

I now see why Eric Bookmeyer, the Skipper, any one of them are scared as hell to be side by side with the fantastic Max Weaver!

I’m not kidding he should skip right on past Mason City and head to Washington!

Vote MAX!!!!

I forgot to tell you, I belong to the country club. There are a lot more people at that club who are voting for you than you could ever imagine. A lot of the members are fed up with Eric and his behavior

While we’re at it, I too belong to the country club and I have already voted for Max, so has my wife and son

You are exactly what this city needs, you’ve got my vote and my wife’s.

Let’s see Max was lead g the cheers for. Gentlemen’s club, selling the hotel on e bay, singlehandedly going to bring Toyota to Mason City with no help from the state of Iowa. blasted leaders because he had the inside scoop on how they lostthe Target distribution Center to Cedar Falls and Peter is his big supporter.wow that is impressive. I am sure that I am missing something’s so please respond with factually documented things that Max has accomplished.

same with Bookmeyer, what has he done?

Who is the 3rd floor person he is speaking of?

Support seems to be waning. From 60 at the 1st meeting to 25 at the 2nd. Doesn’t look good.Max is a great guy, just a bad team player and people know this from his previous time on the council.

Sometimes it’s good if you are not a team player.

Maybe the lower turnout today was because it was in the morning while many people are at work. I voted for,Max and Foster. Our current council needs an overhaul.

@Reggie-I intend to vote for Max but did not attend any of his meetings as my mind is already made up. Probably that way for a lot of people. You must know that every person that attend will tell all of their friends and family how much they like him and it will certainly influence them when they vote. Nice try at discrediting Max though.

I did not attend because I too have already made up my mind and will vote for Max. I think there are a lot of people that have already made up their minds to vote for Max. At least Max is out giving the people a chance to ask questions & get his point of view out. I have not seen or heard anything about Eric doing this. Is Eric afraid to answer questions from us common folk?

I stopped at the courthouse today and voted for you and Foster. I live in the first ward.

I voted for you today, I am from the fourth ward and also voted for Matt and Leonard.

You do good Max. Hopefully people will see that things need changed and get out and vote.

I like what you have to say!
You go Max!!
Vote Maximus!!!
