MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota Vikings signed a new quarterback this week, further distancing themselves from incumbent qb Christian Ponder.
Sports experts said Monday that the Vikings signed former Buccaneer Josh Freeman due to Ponder’s lackluster play. The Vikings are just 1-3 this season after losing some close games.
Vikings’ General Manager Rick Spielman said monday that Josh Freeman “is very talented as a passer. He is a big QB with a strong arm that can do a lot of good things.”
Freeman weighed in on his new team Monday, tweeting “This is a very talented offense,” perhaps referring to league’s best rusher in Adrian Peterson.
“I am pumped up to be a Minnesota Viking,” Freeman continued before a press conference Monday in Minneapolis.
“This felt right in my heart. Great gut feeling. I am definitely fired up.”
The Vikings have a bye this week.
The Vikes need all the help they can get, but I don’t know if this guy can help or not. He sure fell flat on his rear with the last team. Rumor coming out of Florida was he had a bad attitude and was a Prima Donna. Frazier is going to look pretty bad when management overrules him and makes him bench Ponder.
This was a very good move!
