A new survey released last week shows that a majority of U.S. adults approve of labor unions, with support growing in the past year.
In the survey released Friday – asking 2,059 adults – 54 percent approved of organized labor, according to Gallup.
The number who approve of unions is still historically low, down from the all-time high 75 percent in 1953 and 1957.
52% od those who responded said they believe unions would become weaker in the future.
