Iowa inmate escapes residential work facility

The offender was transferred to this facility after being granted a work release by the Iowa Board of Parole. Work Release is a minimum security setting which allows offenders an opportunity to gradually adjust to the transition between prison and the community.

FACILITY: Marshalltown Work Release Facility

OFFENSE: Domestic Assault Third Offense

SENTENCE: 5 Years

COUNTY OF COMMITTMENT: Marshall

COMMENTS: Sheriff was placed on escape status after failing to report and return from employment. Sheriff was transferred to Work Release from parole on July 23, 2013. This sentence began on July 19, 2012. Information as to Sheriff’s whereabouts should be reported to the Marshalltown police Department of Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
