Iowa State sells out student ticket allotment for football

logo_iowa_state_cyclonesAMES, Iowa – Attendance figures at Jack Trice Stadium have soared in the last two seasons and the 2013 campaign appears to be following the same trend. Behind the success of the Iowa State football program under head coach Paul Rhoads, the Iowa State Athletics Department announced today it has sold out of student football season tickets. The allotment was exhausted Thursday morning.

This is the earliest Iowa State has sold out of student season tickets in recent memory, eclipsing the old mark set last year when the ISU student body gobbled up all of the student seating on Aug. 8.

“I can’t say enough about how much we appreciate the support from our students at home football games,” Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads said. “They have definitely helped us create a home-field advantage and their excitement is contagious.”

Over 50,000 fans have witnessed the Cyclones play in Jack Trice Stadium for a school-record 13-straight games and ISU set single-season school attendance marks the last two seasons (55,274-2012; 53,647-2011).
