WEST HAVEN, Conn., May 30 (UPI) — Police in Connecticut said they arrested a woman accused of prostitution and her alleged client when she called 911 to report she was being harassed by a pimp.
West Haven police said Jennifer Lowery called 911 Sunday to report her pimp was verbally harassing her and officers arrived to find her in a Super 8 motel room with Richard Buford, who allegedly paid $200 to have sex with Lowery, The Hartford (Conn.) Courant reported Thursday.
Lowery, who was charged with prostitution, told the officers she and Buford had not yet engaged in any sex acts.
“I thought it would take the police a while to show up, so I figured I would turn a trick,” police quoted her as saying.
Buford was arrested and charged with patronizing a prostitute.
