NEW YORK, May 20 (UPI) — A New York convenience store clerk said police busted a thief who tried to make off with his pockets full of pilfered doughnuts.
Shabbis Bhatti, 42, a clerk at the 7-Eleven store in the Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood, said he called police when he noticed a man filling his pants pockets with doughnuts, the New York Post reported Monday.
“[They came] within 1 minute. They were fast, three policemen and a sergeant,” he said.
Police said Dexter Jackson, 34, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of stolen property and petty larceny.
