BOONE – NIACC freshman Levi Fink earned meet medalist honors with a 2-under par 70 at the DMACC Invitational on Thursday at the Cedar Pointe Golf Club.
Fink (Wadena, Ia.) helped lead NIACC to a third-place finish in the team standings in the Trojans’ opening meet of the season.
Also for NIACC, sophomores Dalton Olson (Mason City, Ia.) and Jacob Urdahl (Mason City, Ia.) both shot 79s and freshman Kevin Trobaugh (Gladbrook, Ia.) shot an 80.
In the women’s meet, the NIACC women’s golf team placed second with a 360.
DMACC won with a 344.
Sophomore Alexandria Eckenrod (Mason City, Ia.) led NIACC with an 85. Also for the Lady Trojans, sophomore Mikayla Smith (Mason City, Ia.) shot 87, Sarah Steinauer (Clarinda, Ia.) shot 92 and sophomore Moriah Sherman (Charles City, Ia.) shot 96.
