logo_minnesota_timberwolvesMINNEAPOLIS, March 29 (UPI) — Nikola Pekovic and Dante Cunningham scored all the points in an 8-0 fourth-quarter run Friday that led Minnesota to a 101-93 triumph over Oklahoma City.

In one of the brightest moments of a disappointing season, the Timberwolves pulled away in the fourth period to defeat the team with the third best record in the NBA.

Minnesota had only a three-point lead in the early stages of the final period when Pekovic and Cunningham combined on a burst that gave the Timberwolves a 92-81 advantage with 5:30 to go.

Pekovic finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds while Ricky Rubio added 17 points and seven assists.

Kevin Durant had 36 points for the Thunder, who had won their previous three games.
